My mood board is about the genre Indie Folk, and the main codes and conventions around it.
I have named a few major artists concerned with the genre such as Ben Howard and Mumford and Sons. The pictures of these artists that I have collected, are ones that could potentially be used as album front covers. They show the mise-en-scene that is usually used within this genre and how the pictures are taken mid-close up, with the main singer as the focus.
Indie Folk is a very naturalistic genre, which I have tried to get across with the pastel colour palette of blues and peaches. I have also incorporated flowers and beaded bracelets to give a more natural rustic feel to it.
The lyrics I have written on the mood board are mainly about love and relationships; lyrics like these are popular within Indie Folk songs.
