Genre research - indie folk

I can apply this research to my own music magazine by using the codes and conventions of the Indie Folk genre. For instance I could the photo for my main front cover image outside in the natural environment, which could follow a narrative of many Indie Folk lyrics. I could also include some of the instruments associated with this genre, such as an acoustic guitar, into my main image; this might make the genre of the magazine more apparent to the potential audience.
